7 Things Only Quiet People Will Truly Understand!
Being a quiet person
can have it's ups and downs, however, there's just a
certain lifestyle that a majority of us would prefer
compared to our extroverted opposites.
Most of the time, we
are misunderstood for the things that we hold dear to us
as well as the things that we like to do in our spare
time.
Of course, it
doesn't necessarily mean that we don't like doing things
that are out of our comfort zone it's just that we like
things to be a certain way before we truly commit.
There are a variety
of things that we like to do, but these seven things are
probably the most relatable to quiet people that stand out
the most, or at least to us.
1. Have To Have A
Good Reason
Like we said before,
we don't normally do certain things unless there is a
purpose behind it. We rarely commit to things that do not
involve our personal input simply because we like to give
our best to whatever it is that we want to demonstrate to
others.
It's important to us
that we are able to not get in the way of others as well
as being precise with what we do and dealing with the
consequences afterwards. If we truly think there is no
reason for us to be there in the first place then we will
most likely not show up.
2. Take Your Time
When our friends are
too busy or overwhelmed with something going on in their
life, we prefer that they take their time instead of
rushing to spend time with us.
We do not want them
to be constantly looking at their watch instead of
actually being engaged with what we are talking about or
doing together.
It's really no
trouble at all if you have other things going on at that
moment, just let us know when you think you'll be done and
when you are ready to hang out. We probably have other
things we could be doing anyways while we wait for them in
the meantime.
3. Not Everyone Gets
Us...
Not everyone is
capable of being our friend so knowing that fact alone
should give you a pretty good idea as to what it means for
us to be with our close friends.
It's a huge
compliment to our friends that we are willing to hang out
with them because we know that if it were anyone else we
would most likely be an anxious wreck.
Not everyone is
capable of understanding how we operate so it's pretty
amazing that you're the kind of person we like to spend
our time with. Sure, that may seem like an
over-exaggeration, however, it's more than true when we
are out with the people we consider to be our closest
friends.
4. Natural Observers
One of the best
things that every single quiet person is good at is being
an observer. This doesn't mean that we don't like to not
give our input, but more like we look for the right
opportunity to speak our minds.
If you plan on
getting to know a quiet person a little bit more than you
do now, then expect them to be thoroughly observing every
single thing that you say and do the entire time you are
with them.
This is how we are
able to understand people as well as situations a lot
better than we already do. Yes, it's easy to observe and
that's how we like it too.
5. Like Going Out
But...
Quiet people
definitely love going out to the bar every now and then
but would rather much prefer staying at home having a
couple of porch beers or cracking open a new bottle of
wine we've been looking forward too.
Bars are nice, don't
get us wrong, however, it can prove to be a little too
loud sometimes when we are trying to talk to our friends
and we aren't able to understand anything that the other
person is saying simply because of how loud the music is
or how loud others at the bar might be.
It's nothing
personal, we do love going out, but staying in and doing
the same things can give us a lot of overall joy.
6. Prefer A Lot Of
Alone Time
This is where a lot
of people misunderstand us when it comes to having our
alone time. Don't worry, prefer a LOT of alone time and
not because we don't like going out in public as much.
We like being able
to process everything that has happened to us throughout
the day since we are constantly overthinking just about...
Everything.
We need a lot of
alone time so that we are able to decompress, calm our
thoughts, and allowing for more information intake for the
following days. We also like to have our space to
ourselves so that we are able to do the things we like to
do in our free time that we would otherwise not get the
chance to do.
7. Surface
Appearances Mean Nothing
You really don't
have to worry about getting dressed up, getting your hair
done, or anything that involves you looking absolutely
amazing. Quiet people don't really care for the surface
appearance of the people that we actually like.
We already like you
for you there is no need for dressing up for us. This is
also true for when you look your worst as well. We still
think you're an amazing human being that we absolutely
love spending time with no matter what you look like!
You could be puking
your guts out for all we care, we are still going to stand
by your side and probably even hold your hair back while
you vomit.
Hopefully this has given you a better idea as to what it
means being in the shoes of a quiet individual.
